Phase contrast
Phase contrast techniques utilize acquired phase shifts generated by blood as it
moves  across an  applied  gradient.  With  the  advent  of  fast phase contrast,
multi-phase 2D imaging in breath-hold times is easily achievable. Blood flow in
any vessel may then also be quantified.

Black-blood imaging is useful
for  some  pathologies  of the
vessels.   Differentiating  true
